Chilly mornings call for warming bowls of breakfast sunshine. And what do you know – this gorgeous bowl of creamy oatmeal is just the thing. And it’s not just pretty to look at. We’ve added the floral flavours of turmeric to give this breakfast a super healthy kick too.
100g Mornflake Organic Oats
500ml coconut milk
2 tbsp maple syrup
1tsp turmeric
¼ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp cinnamon
Small pinch of nutmeg
Toppings
½ a sliced banana
1 passionfruit
A sprinkle of toasted coconut
A sprinkle of cinnamon
Put all of the ingredients for the oatmeal into a small pan, and stir together.
Place over a high heat and bring to the boil, then reduce the heat to medium and continue to cook until the oats have thickened and reached your desired consistency.
Pour into a bowl, and top with sliced banana, passionfruit, toasted coconut and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
