Ingredients

1 tbsp butter, melted

1 tbsp sugar

1 heaped tbsp cocoa powder

4 tbsp hot water

1 tbsp oat flour (ground-up Mornflake Superfast Oats)

1 tbsp self-raising flour

1 tbsp sugar for the top

1 tsp cocoa powder for the top

4 tbsp water for the top

Method

  • Melt your butter into your mug, then mix through your cocoa powder, sugar and a splash of hot water.
  • Add your flours, mixing well with a pinch of salt – add a splash more water if needed. It should be a very thick cake batter consistency.
  • Flatten your cake out with the back of a spoon, then sprinkle with 1 tbsp of sugar and 1 tsp of cocoa powder. Add a few tbsp of water to the top, until your chocolate powder dissolves, then microwave your mug cake on full power for one minute.
  • Top with ice cream or yoghurt and serve.
