All Mornflake Mighty Oats are grown on British Farms. Britain has some of the best oat growing conditions in the world and we’re proud of our long-standing support of British farmers.
We have been milling in the UK for nearly 350 years and have refined our unique milling process. Only the finest oats make it into a Mornflake Mighty Oats packet. Find out more on the ‘About Us’ page of this website.
Mornflake Mighty Oats are packed full of nutrients, vitamins and minerals. All of the health claims on Mornflake Mighty Oats are regularly tested and verified by a third party laboratory. See individual products for details.
Our wind turbine and solar farm generate enough energy to more than cover the milling of Mornflake Mighty Oats. ‘Milling’ means the Scope 1, Scope 2 and downstream Scope 3 emissions as set out in the GHG Protocol Standard associated with milling oats and assessed by Climate Partner.
Positive Energy for Your Planet refers to the carbon neutral milling methods used in the production of Mornflake Mighty Oats. 100% of the energy used is generated from zero-carbon sources e.g. wind and solar power.
No, we do not offset or buy ‘green tokens’ in order to mill our Mighty Oats. Our sustainable credentials are all our own, generated from our wind turbine and solar panels.

Yes! Oats are one of Mother Nature’s ways to reduce cholesterol. That said, to experience the benefits you’ll also need to ensure that the rest of your diet is low in saturated fat and that you enjoy a healthy lifestyle.
Oats contain soluble fibre, which can reduce your low-density lipoprotein (LDL), the ‘bad’ cholesterol. Soluble fibre appears to do this by reducing the absorption of cholesterol in your intestines.
*As part of a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle, oat beta glucans have been shown to help lower blood cholesterol. Blood cholesterol lowering may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.
Wholegrain foods are made from the entire grain rather than just one part of it. Over the centuries, we have developed our milling techniques to ensure that the entire grain is optimally milled to produce the very best wholegrain cereals. Research shows that people with healthy hearts tend to eat more wholegrain foods, so our oats can provide the perfect choice for a healthy lifestyle.
Unfortunately, there is no short answer to this question! As such, we’ve put information on the gluten content of our products within the ‘allergy advice’ section of each product page. For more information about gluten click here.
We are full members of the On Pack Recycling Label (OPRL) scheme to ensure that clear and accurate packaging recycling information is provided to our customers/consumers. Recycling information for all of our products is outlined on the packs themselves.
