Apple & Cinnamon Oats

Breakfast is very appeeeeling…especially when you’ve got an oat-standing bowl of Apple & Cinnamon Oats!

Ingredients

45g Mornflake Jumbo Scottish Oats 

237ml milk

118ml water

Pinch of salt

1/4 tsp cinnamon

THE APPLES

1 Apple

1/2 tsp butter

1 tbsp maple syrup

Sprinkle of cinnamon

Method

  • Add your Mornflake Jumbo Scottish Oats and liquid to a pan, leaving on low heat for around 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Leave your oats to cook to your desired consistency, adding more liquid if required.
  • When almost ready to serve, dice your apple, adding to a saucepan on medium-low heat with your butter and maple syrup, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
  • Leave to cook for a minute or two, continue to stir, then leave to cook for another minute or two.
  • Once you’re happy with how your apples are cooked, take your oats and apple off the heat, pour your oats into a serving bowl, then top with your apple, peanut butter, and some maple syrup.
